A terrible tragedy has just occurred in Israel. While the majority of Israelis oppose releasing terrorists as a gesture towards "peace" talks, the government of Israel has carried out this painful act.
As the world's largest pro-Israel grassroots movement, our role is not to play the "blame game" nor to take a strong position against the Israeli government. However, as Palestinians celebrate the release of murderers and demand more, Israelis are in pain and we cannot remain silent.
At United with Israel, we promote the best interests of the people of Israel and spread the TRUTH. Our role is to educate the world and combat the systematic delegitimization of Israel. Our mission is to demonstrate how Israel is a great blessing to the world in so many ways.
It is the demonization of Israel throughout the world that creates the backdrop to allow a democratically elected Jewish government to release terrorists with Jewish blood on their hands. This is not an excuse - it is simply a fact.
World opinion DOES affect Israel's positions and decisions. And THAT is the greatest tragedy for Israel.
The 'United with Israel' staff has worked tirelessly to defeat anti-Israel bias and promote the real Israel to the world. A better understanding of Israel's position means less pressure from world powers, including the United States.
We are making an urgent request on the last day of 2013. Help us to prevent the release of terrorists in 2014 and beyond.
The pain is intolerable and the excuses are irrelevant. We must boost our efforts right now!
