hamas children tvshow
Just days after its much-vaunted reconciliation pact with Mahmoud Abbas's PLO, Hamas's official TV channel aired a children's program in which viewers were encouraged to "kill the Jews". During the show, called "Pioneers of Tomorrow", young children are interviewed by a young presenter and her "bumblebee" co-host and encouraged to carry out a variety of violent attacks. At one point, a young girl says she wants to be a policewoman when she grows up. "What do the police do?" asks the host. "They catch thieves and troublemakers," her co-host answers. "And they shoot Jews, right?" she responds. "Yes," the young interviewee smiles to her interviewer's obvious delight, "I will shoot all the Jews!"
The latest clip, translated by the Middle East Research Institute (MEMRI) is just the latest of countless instances of incitement to genocide and terrorism in both Hamas and Palestinian Authority-run media. Earlier this week, to mark Israel's Independence Day, Hamas released an animate video which featured an "alternative" to Israel's Hatikva national anthem, which called for the ethnic-cleansing of Israel's Jewish population.

3 Simple Ways to Keep Your
Marriage Strong

Because you’re in ministry, you know that this story is all too common. But having mentored and trained thousands of pastors, I can also say that it’s all to common among ministry marriages. And one of the reasons why we read about so many moral failures among ministry leaders today is that we’ve failed to keep our marriages strong and to make them the priority over ministry. Success at home is way more important than success in professional or ministry leadership.

The Bible has a couple of things to say about that that are very important. Proverbs 24:3 says, “Homes are built on the foundation of wisdom and understanding.” Paul prays in Philippians 1:9, “I pray that your love will keep on growing because of your knowledge and insight.” It takes wisdom and understanding to keep your marriage growing, along with knowledge and insight. Marriages do not automatically grow – not even ministry marriages.

One dangerous assumptions among ministry leaders is that being in ministry insulates and vaccinates you from the problems that most marriages face. In fact, the opposite is true. You have a target on your back, as does your family, and being intentional matters. Here are three practices for keeping your marriage strong...

$2.8 BILLION INVESTMENT IN NEW INTERCITY TRAINS

  • The NSW Government will invest $2.8 billion in a new state-of-the-art fleet of intercity trains, giving long-distance customers a more comfortable ride and for the first time making all state trains air-conditioned.

  • Around 65 new state-of-the-art intercity trains, including about 520 brand new carriages, will carry passengers to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, and the Illawarra. Sydney customers will also benefit from this significant investment, as the new trains will stop at many busy Sydney interchanges such as Central and Strathfield.

  • In addition, the Oscar intercity fleet - currently operating to outer metropolitan areas – will be reallocated to Sydney suburban services, meaning every train across the state will be air-conditioned.

  • This is a major investment in a brand new train fleet for NSW and shows how hard the NSW Government is working to improve services for the tens of thousands of customers commuting every day.

Egyptian-Christians-protest-White-House
In a sermon a British Islamist leader outlined how under an "Islamic State" Christians and other non-Muslims would be systematically humiliated and persecuted to encourage their women and children to convert to Islam. Abu Walid, an Islamist affiliated with the hardline Salafi stream, cited sources in the hadith (Islamic teachings outside of the Koran, based on the words of Mohammed's companions) which detailed how the "People of the Book" - referring to Jews and Christians - were to be treated as second-class citizens, or dhimmis, if they chose not to convert to Islam. Those measures include, among other things: being forced to walk on the narrower side of the street to Muslims, shaving their foreheads, wearing red belts around their necks, being forced to wear odd shoes and only being allowed to travel sideways on donkeys. The aim is essentially to bully them into accepting Islam - or at the very least to encourage their children and wives to leave them to escape humiliation.
Though originally recorded back in January, the footage was only recently published publicly by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Salafism is a puritanical version of Sunni Islam which preaches a return to what they see as the true origins of Islam, modeled strictly on the actions of the religion's founder Muhammed. While the ideas expressed in the sermon might sound frankly bizarre, they were in the past implemented in the aftermath of the Islamic conquests of the Middle East, Africa and other regions including the Iberian Peninsula. Those non-Muslims who were not "People of the Book" were usually given a much simpler choice: convert or die. Even today, Salafi Islamists - including Al Qaeda-linked groups - often impose variations of the humiliating dhimmi status on non-Muslims under their control, which also includes the payment of a regular jizya tax to their Muslim rulers. In the northern Syrian town of Raqqa, for example, the few Christians who remain have been allowed to retain their non-Muslim faith only under condition of accepting second-class citizenship and the payment of the jizya. And following the ouster of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi last summer, Islamist extremists took control of several towns with large Coptic Christian communities, systematically abusing and humiliating them until being driven out by the military. In the most recent high-profile attack against Christians, Islamist terrorists kidnapped nearly 300 Christian girls in Nigeria - and then released a video mocking their relatives and threatening to sell them into slavery.

Father God,I thank You for completing what You started in my life. I trust that no matter how dark things may seem, You are my shining light of hope. I thank You for working behind the scenes to carry me through to the place of victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

One principle that the resurrection teaches us is that God will always finish what He started. No matter how dark it looks, no matter how long it’s been, no matter how many people are trying to push you down, if you will stay in faith, God will always cross you to the next level. He will always complete what He started in you.You are blessed.
